Plant and Animal cells have similarities and differences.

Animal cells and Plant cells have 4 things in common:

Nucleus- contains DNA that controls what the cell does.

Cytoplasm- gel-like substance where most of the chemical reactions happen.

Cell membrane- controls what does in and out of the cell.

Mitochondria- these produce energy from respiration that is needed for the cell to work.

Plant cells have 3 more extra things:

Cell wall- made of cellulose and supports the cell.

Chloroplasts- contains chlorophyll which is needed for photosynthesis.

Vacuole- contains cell sap, a mixture of weak sugars and salts.
