B2 1.1 Animal and plant cells

All living things are made of cells. Cells are small and can only be seen with microscopes. Light microscopes are used in schools. Electron microscopes magnify things thousands of times larger.

Most cells have some structure in common. Thye have:

• a nucleus to control the cell's activites
• cytoplasm where many chemical reactions…
