What is sustainable development?

It means providing for the needs of today's increasing population without harming the environment.

Why is sustainable development important?

It is important because as the human population increases, we will need to make sure we are living sustainably. We need to find a way in which we can exist and not harm the earth.

What will we need more of as the population increases?

We will need to produce more food, so therefore we need more farm land.

We will need more energy, and so we will need to find many alternatives…
