aerboic respiration
- takes place continuously in animals and plants
- respiration: glucose+oxygen=carbon dioxde+water (and energy)
- it takes place in the mitochondria of cells
- energy released is used to:build larger molecules from smaller ones
- enable muscle contraction
- keep body temp constant and build proteins into plants
- when investigating aerobic respiration we measure the amount of co2 produced by limewater
- it is also possible to detect temperature rise
effect of exercise on the body
- muscles need more energy because theyre contracting more
- you need to increase the rate glucose and energy meet…
