B2 - Acid Rain

?

Acid rain damages soil, kills trees, and erodes limestone buildings.

It also ruins stone statues, makes lakes acidic, and destroys some ecosystems.

Acid rain is created in the following way;

1. fossil fuels and waste materials are burnt

2. they release sulphur dioxide

3. it reacts with water in the atmosphere

4. this forms sulfuric acid

5. this falls as acid rain.
