Weight problems

>Obesity

If you take in more energy than you use, the excess is stored as fat

You need some body fat to cushion your internal organs and as an energy store but if someone eats a lot more food than they need, this is a form of malnourishment

Malnourished - Not having enough or too much of one or more of the food groups

Over time they could become overweight and obese

Carrying too much weight is often inconvenient and uncomfortable

Obesity can lead to:

-Arthritis

-Type 2 diabetes

-High blood pressure

-Heart disease

Obese people are also more likely to die at a younger age
