Homeostasis= the process by which your body maintains a constant internal environment Homeostasis relies on automatic control systems such as your nervous sytem,hormones and organs
You need to maintain these conditions in order to function properly and mainatin optimal enzyme activity
internal conditons that are controlled include: water content,body temp,blood glucose concentration
All automatic control systems contain;receptors,coordination centres(brain,spinal cord,organs like the pancreas) and effectors. Receptors- detect stimuli in the external/internal environment, recptor cells may be part of the nervous/hormonal control system
