Sympathetic Nervous system: 

• Fight ot flight system - prepares you for action by mimicking the action of adrenaline. Encourages the release of adrenaline from the medulla of the adrenal glands

• Increases your heart rate, therefore increasing your stroke volume. More volume of blood pumped out per beat - Blood pressure will go up

• Local vasoconstriction around the gut
