asexual reproduction involves mitosis 

in asexual reproduction there is only 1 parent so the offsrping are gentically identical to that parent.

asexual reproduction happens by mitosis, an ordinary cell makes a new cell by dividing into 2, the new cell has exactly the same genetic info as the parent cell, its called a clone 

bacteria, some plants, and some animals reproduce asexually
