Vasomotor Control Centre (VCC)

 

(Vascular shunt redistributes Q during rest and exercise )

 

  • VCC in medulla oblongata
  • It Stimulates sympathetic nervous system to vasodilate or vasoconstrict pre capillary sphincters and arteries supplying muscles and organs

  

VCC receives info from:

Chemoreceptors. These inform VCC that lactic acid and carbon dioxide has increased and oxygen decreased.

Barroreceptors – aorta and carotid inform VCC
