Cell Organelles

1) Nucleus:
It contains the cell's genetic material and also controls the cells activities
- It is the largest organelle
- It is surrounded by a nuclear envelope (made of two membranes with fluid between them)
- They have nuclear pores which go right through the envelope
- Has a dense, spherical structure called the nucleolus inside the nucleus

2) Endoplasmic Reticulum:
Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum (rEr): Transports proteins that were made on the attached ribosomes
Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum (sEr): Makes lipids that the cell needs
- Rough Endoplasmic Reticulum is studded with ribosomes
- Smooth Endoplasmic Reticulum does not have ribosomes
