AS AQA PSYA2 Psychology-Asch 1951

The aim was to see if people would conform in an ambiguous line judgement task.

METHOD: All male, 5 confederates and 1 real participant (didn't know he was the only participant). Was asked to match a line with another line in terms of its appearance, 12 critical trials.

FINDINGS: 37% conformed in the critical trials, and 17% conformed at least once.
