Grace – Jeff Buckley

Jeff Buckley’s musical influences are reggae, punk, hair metal, qawwali, rock and influences. He uses these strongly in the piece, for example, the wailing in the end of the song is qawwali influence.

This piece of music was written in 1992 and the album was published in 1994. This was his only album that he produced, called ‘Grace’, before he died at 31 in 1997, from drowning in the Thames. ‘Grace’ is a rock ballad.

The piece starts with an intro A and B followed by the first verse, then pre chorus 1 and chorus 1. Then there is the second verse, pre chorus 2, chorus 2 and then a middle 8 AB, link AB verse 3 and then an outro.
