There are many advantages to using Arbitration.

  • The parties remain in control - They have more control over arbitration than they would over a court case, where the control is effectively exercised by lawyers and the judge.
  • The parties have more privacy - The proceedings are usually held in private - this is an important consideration for commercial disputes.
  • Arbitration is quicker and cheaper than court - This is because having agreed to resolve the dispute by this process, it will be in the interest of the parties to set up arbitration quickly, this will make it cheaper because it is quick and the process is less complicated
