Rates of Reaction

Reactants are turned into products during a chemical reaction. The faster this happens, the faster the rate of reaction.

  •      Rate of reaction = amount of reactant used

                                                   time

  •     Rate of reaction = amount of product formed 

                                                  time

The units of rate of reaction may be given as g/s or cm3 /s.
