UNIT 4 SECTION 1 - Further Mechanics

Momentum - The momentum of an object is the product of its mass and velocity.

Momentum = Mass x Velocity

(kgms-1) = m (kg) x v ms-1)

The Principle of the Conservation of Momentum states that: if objects collide, the total momentum before the collision is the same as the total momentum after the collision. The same principal applies to explosions.
