Tme Sampling - behaivour is recorded at fixed intervals e.g. 5 mins

QUANTATIVE - nubers using coding scheme that define categories e.g. bandura ross and ross study 5 point coding scheme when judging p's aggressivness

QUALATATIVE - literature on observation in depth notes on p;s 

NOMINAL DATA - SIMPLY COUNTONG NO OF P'S THAT FALL INTO DIFF. CATEGORYS 

e.g 4 men and five women in a room

e.g. of 100 ppl 60 introverts 40 extroverts 

e.g. 64% of men beleive women should stay at home 32% disagree
