During the harvest, the pigs "directed and supervised" then "assumed leadership" - Orwell shows equality isn't possible
The tone at the start of Chapter 3 is positive about the sense of working for a shared purpose. There is an idealism as in Major's sppech - "not an animal on the farm had stolen as much as a mouthful"
The hardest worker on the farm was Boxer hwo had lot sof positive description - "mighty shoulders", "put in some volunteer labour"; Boxer's motto - "I will work harder"
