  • Aluminium is a metal with many uses and has low density and resistant to corrosion.
  • Aluminium is more reactive than carbon so it can not be reduced.
  • It has to be extracted using electrolysis of molten aluminium oxide. This requires high tempratures and makes aluminium expensive to extract.
