Air Pollution (Carbon)
Different Forms of Carbon Pollution Cause Different Problems:
Fossil fules are burnt to release energy. We burn fossil fuels to power vehicles and to produce electricity in power stations. The carbon-based products of burning fossil fuels often pollute the atmosphere.
1) All fossil fuels contain a large amount of carbon therefore they produce a lot of pollutants that contain carbon.
2) If the fuel is burnt where there's lots of oxygen, then nearly all the carbon ends up in carbon dioxide.
3) If ther's not much oxygen available, such as a car engine, then small amounts of carbon monoxide and small particles of carbon are produced as well. All of these…
