Hydrogen atom is released from Reduced NAD and Reduced FAD.

Hydrogen atom splits into H+ proton and electron (e-).

the electron released passes through the electron transport chain ( made of three electron carriers). this proccess releases energy.

energy released is used to pump the H+ prton form the Mitochondrial matrix into the Intermembrane space.
