Adaptation:

• Means accepting that there will be climate change, and adapting lifestyles to cope with these changes
• Develop hill walking holidays in a former ski resort
• Construct coastal defences to prevent coastal flooding caused by sea level rise
• Return areas of floodplain back to their natural use
• Use drought tolerant (possibly GM) crops
• Abandon areas for less risky locations
