Defintion of Religion:
- Problematic term "Religion" can be used as an evaluation approach in many different questions.
- Due to the discussion and uncertainty, it is also difficult to measure and view the influence that religion has upon us.
Functionalist views on religion:
1. Durkheim - Not a belief in supernatural, but the distinction between sacred (Evoke awe) and profane (Non-significant).
- Totenism - Believed religion is understood in simple societies, such as the Arunta Tribe in which worship and emblem or totem, which sybolised the tribes origins and identity.
