A01- Free will and determinism.
Free will: Suggests that human beings choose thier own behaviour/ actions (we are self-determining) and are not infleunced entirely by biological/ external forces but are able to reject them.
Determinism: Individual's behaviour is shaped/ controlled by internal/ external forces rather than an individual's will to do something.
- Hard determinsim: All behaviour has a cause and we should be able to pinpoint and describe the cause. - compatible with aims of science.
- Soft determinism: Behaviour that is caused by internal/ external forces but also emphasies that there in room for free will, in the way that they have conscious mental control over the way they behave …
