A Christmas Carol -Family

In the novel, Dickens highlights the importance of family and how it is a source of happiness, comfort and strength. He uses the Cratchits to symbolism the perfect family. Scrooge doesn't see why he needs family, not caring for Fred, and only looks at the financial burden of family. Dickens also highlights that while Scrooge is unhappy due to his lack of family, he can become happy by spending more time for Fred, he will never leave him as he is his family.
