  • Nitrogen forms 3 bonds
  • Oxygen forms 2 bonds
  • Hydrogen form 1 bond

• A cation is an atom or molecule that has lost 1+ electron so has a net positive charge
• An anion is a atom or molecule that has gained 1+ electron so has a net negative charge
