Joint Conjugal Roles -  When domestic work is evenely shared between the male and the female. Example: Man helping out with childcare.

Expressive Role -  Adopted by women, partaking the domestic roles. Example: Socialising children, housework.

Instrumental Role - When men go out to work to provide for their family. (Bread winner)

1) Housework has become commercialised

Goods and services that housewives had to produce are now mass produced and supplied by supermarkets. Example: Freezer, Microwaves, Ready Meals, All act to reduce amount of domestic labour.
