1.2 - the creation of the universe and humanity

All christians believe that God was responsible for creation of the earth and the whole universe. the bible contains three accounts of how God created the universe;. two of these are in the old testaments book of genesis.

Genesis 1

• day 1 = created heaven and earth, light and day
• day 2 = separated earth from sky
• day 3 = created dry lans, plants and trees
• day 4 = created sun moon and staars
• day 5 = fish and birds
• day 6- animals and humans

each part came out because of gods words

god said : 'let there be light and there was light' Genesis 1;3'

also males and females were made at the same time and made from the image of God humans were also made to have authority over the wold

'let us have man in our image and let them rule over the fish ..'

'god saw all he made and it was very good' {genesis 2;3}
