- The Atom is made up of Protons, Neutrons and Electrons.
- The nucleus contains the nucleous, the Protons and Neutrons. Whilst the Electrons orbit in shells around the nucleus.
- The Electron has a relative mass of 0.0005.
- The number of Protons and Electrons in a neutral atom is equal. This is shown by the proton number of the element.
- The other number is the nucleon number (the number of protons and neutrons combined).
- Specific Charge = Charge/Mass - this is the charge per unit mass. This is measured in CKg^-1
