What problems do an ageing population bring to the UK?

There are many different problems that an ageing popualtion can bring to a countries economic, environmental and soical aspects. These include:

• Low/declining fertility- Women in Britain are having fewer children then previous generations 
• Risinglongevity- People are living longer, due to health improvements and improvement in diet and preventive care. 
• Gaps in the job market- Many businesses and public services lack in empolyment and skills 
• Pressure on healthcare- as well as social services 
• Funding- public services and housing are struugling to find the funding for new builds because of the lack of work
