Reflection

Normal line = line perpendicular to the mirror

Angle of incidence - angle of ray to normal line

Angle of reflection - angle of reflected ray to normal line

Refraction

Refraction = change of direction of waves when they travel across a boundry

From air to glass, angle of refraction < angle of incidence

From glass to air, angle of refraction > angle of incidence

Diffraction

Diffraction = spreading out of waves, passing through gap or around something

The narrower the gap, greater the diffraction

Sound

Pitch of note increases if frequency of sound wave increases

Loudness of note increases if amplitude of sound wave increases

Vibrations in instruments or your throat produce soundwaves
