Weight

Weight is a force that acts towards the centre of the earth. All forces have both Magnitude and direction and are measured in Newtons. 

Vectors

Quantities that have both magnitude and direction are vector quantities. Forces are vectors.

Mass

Mass measures the amount of matter in an object and does not have a direction.

Scalars

Quantities that have manitude but not direction are scalars quantities. Distance,speed,time.
