Data vs information

Data has no context and is just pure facts and figures. 

Information is data put into context and is more detailed and clearer for the average person.

The difference between them is that information is data process into some sort of context surrounding it.

How data is turned into knowlege

Knowledge- the capability of understanding the relationship between pieces of information and what to actually do with the information. 

Raw data- yes/no/yes/no/yes/yes/no

Context-  results from a marketing survey if they would buy a product for a certain price

Information (after getting proccesed)- make things such as graphs to present knowledge to compare trends and patterns.

Knowledge-  If answers, for example, were in favour of no the company may adjust price to a more acceptable one
