Unit 1- Number

When there are m ways of doing one ask and n ways of doing another, the total number of ways is m x n.

1. Create a prime factor tree for each of the numbers. 

2. Using the numbers from the tree, create a venn diagram. 

3. To work out HCF, multiply all the numbers in the middle together. To work out LCM, multiply ALL numbers together. 

When multiplying: 
Add the powers

When dividing:
Subtract the powers

  Must be between 1 and 10  

  Must be x10

  The power can be positive of negative
