• Wind speeds of over 300 km/h were recorded when it hit land.

• People displaced from thier homes were estimated to be 600,000.

UK and Canada citizens gave money to relif efforts.

The Philippene goverment recived help from the World Health Organization to meet the acute need for healthcare services.

They put out a 'state of national calmity' to get loans to help them rebuild. The UK goverment set a £10 million package which had emergancy shelter, water and, household items.

Answer: One of the social impacts of Typhoon Haiyan was the high death toll, with over 6000 people estimated killed and many more thousands missing. A second social impact was the destruction of homes, with many people left homeless.
