Emotional Development

Emotional development is a child's sense of security, their sense of personal identity or self-image (who they are) and their self awareness. They learn to understand and express their own feelings.

Emotions can either be positive or negative. They are our inner feelings which are sometimes hard to explain. It is hard for a child to explain; worry, fright or anxiety. This is why children's emotions are often expressed in tantrums, agressions, extreme laughter and crying. As adults, we need to help children understand that it is OK to show emotions.
