Tropical Rainforests

- Same all year round, no seasons

- Hot, temperature between 20-28 degrees because of the equator

- High rainfall, around 2000mm per year

- Rains everyday, usually in the afternoon

- Not very fertile due to heavy rain washing nutrients away

- Thin layer of nutrients due to surface litter

- Red

- Evergreen (dont drop their leaves)

- Trees are tall and dense

- Little light reaches forest floor

- Lots of epiphytes (plants that grow on other living plants and take nutrients from the air)
