Tbh... They're probably wrong :P

A Translation is moving a shape up or down or left or right

EVERY VERTICE MUST BE MOVED THE SAME

Rotation

A couple of Basic Facts:

90 degrees: 1/4 turn

180 degrees: 2/4

270 degrees: 3/4

360 degrees: Full turn or 4/4

Rotation from the centre is exactly that..

Rotation from the point outside of the shape is also exactly that but remember that if a rotation question comes up... STATE THE POINT OF ROTATION... Or at least know it :P

Reflection

Just a cheeky mirror!

Reflection questions usually involve a stated point of reflection. Or if you are writing it... IT SHOULD DO!

So, if it's 2, let's say squares, away from the line or point of reflection. Then your reflection drawing should be too!

Scale factor

4 squares in a triangle side length with a scale factor of 2 = 8 squares!

So 4x2=8

Should make sense...

Scale factor of: 1/2 means:

4 divided by 2 equals 2 squares!

4/2=2
