Optical fibres

Made up of two parts, n1, and n2. This is called a step index.

If the critical angle isn't exceeded then the light travels through the optical cable.

We can use it to send signals through. 

Modal Dispersion - when the signal is distorted.

Monomode - Less space inside cable so less error when data transmitted.
