Threats to the Weimar Republic, left wing and right wing

They did not trust the new Government.                                                            They thought that Ebert would not improve working people's loves                     They wanted a full scale Communist revolution

JANUARY 1919- workers protested throughout Germany, the spartacists tried to start a revolution. In Berlin the government's newspapers and telegraph headquarters were taken over.

They thought that other protesters would join in and overthrough many other buildings however this did not happen.

The Government ordered the army to stop the uprising. Fighting followed and over 100 workers were killed.

The uprising was badly thought out. The spartacists did not get support from other left wing groups. Rosa was captured by the Freikorps and shot. Karl was murdered. Now the Spartacists had no leaders they struggled.
