-there is the idea of a scandal as in Jekyll's will it says " dissapearance or unexplained absence for any period exceeding calander months, the said Edward Hyde should step into Henry Jekyll's shoes" - chapter 2
-Jekyll has a 'concealed disgrace' this shows secrecy as they never menton what he has done. -chapter 2
- " ape like fury" - this shows secrecy as it is strangely animalistic it also shows that Hyde is less evolved than Jekyll - chapter 4
