The structure of the heart

The structure of the heart (http://library.thinkquest.org/25896/images/heart/structure.jpg)

The human heart has 4 main chambers, these are:

- the left and right atria, which are the top two chambers

- the left and right ventricle which are the bottem two chambers

When you are standing up, the blood can pass from the right atrium into the right ventricle below it, the same is similar for the left side.
