Four reasons Mussolini wanted to invade Abyssinia was because

The Abyssinia Invasion

In December 1934 there was a clash between the Italian troops and Abyssinian troops and 30 Italian troops died now Mussolini had an excuse to invade.

During 1935 britain and france didnt do anything because they didnt waht Mussolini to ally with Hitler.

The British people said they wanted army to stop the Italian invasion, but in October 1935 they invaded.

Haile Selassie appled to the league to help, so the league imposed econmic sanctions and they did not shut the suez canal to Italian ships.

The Hoare- Laval Pact was signed in 1935 which was to allow Mussolini to keep 2/3 of Abyssinia to stop him fighting later they both resigned.

In October Italy and Germany signed the Rome-Berlin Axis which they aegreed to work more closely.
