THE ATOM

Atoms consist of protons neutrons and electrons.

PROTONS- in the nucleus and are heavy with positive charge

NEUTRONS- in the nucleus and are heavy with zero charge

ELECTRONS- are in the outer shells of the atom and are light with negative charge.
