Report

Yes they lost 4-1 that year, which is very strange for England.

Even if we lost, it was a great match. Then all our friends gathered to see how England would play. We expected a different outcome, but judging from what we saw then (and it was hot), we decided that it had to be this way - a world championship at this level could not be won by a country in red. We made preparations, ordered embroidery for T-shirts, and bought hats and puffballs. And in the end, all our efforts came to naught because of Germany. But well done, they made it to the third round and almost won. They would have been left out if they hadn't beaten Uruguay and Argentina. But we had a separate match for third place. Hahaha ah, Spain did great.
