The five problems that the Weimar republic had:

Problem 1: They had to sign and Armistice that ended the fighting in the First World War. The German people didn't know the full story and they felt like the government had stabbed the army in the back. They blamed the leaders of the Weimar Republic for Germany's defeat.

Problem 2: The treaty of versailles. France and Britain put pressure on President Wilson and forced him to accept a treaty that was designed to seriously weaken Germany.

Problem 3: Political violence. People had their right to choose their government. Extremist parties wanted to tear the Weimar Republic apart. Extremist, left-wing parties: The communist party believed that they should run the country on behalf of the workers. Extreme, right-wing parties: The Nazi party believed that Germany should have one strong leader, whom everyone should obey.

Problem 4: Invasion of the Ruhr. Germany was struggling to keep up with the reparation payments. In 1922 announced that they couldn't pay the money for the next three years. In 1923 60,000 French and Belgian troops marched into the Ruhr, and important industrial area of Germany. The German workers went on strike. 140 Germans were killed in clashes with troops. The government were giving money to the families that were on stike but this meant that the government were losing money. The government were not getting any money from the Ruhr either.
