Cardiovascular System

Short Term Effects

increased heart rate

increase in stroke volume--volume of blood pumped by heart in each beat

blood temperature rises

Long Term Effects

heart becomes stronger-heart can pump more blood at a fster rate

left ventricle wall will thicken- increase contraction in heart- more blood can be delivered to working muscles

increase in stroke volume

increase in cardiac output--amount of blood pumped from my heart per minute

Skeletal System

Long Term Effects

joints become more stable

flexability at joints increases- connective tissue becomes more flexible

bone density increases

cartillage becomes thicker- cushin the bones

tendons and ligaments thicken- protect from injury

bones become string- calcium and phosphate increases

Muscular System

Short Term Effects

increase in muscle temperature

increase in metabolic activity

Long Term Effects

muscle hypertrophy

increase in tendon strength

increase in the lactic acid threshold

Lactic Acid-- lactic acid build ups happen when doing anaerobic exercise- lactic acid builds up resulting in muscle pain meaning you would have to stop recording.

to get rid of tyne lactic acid is removed by taking in more oxygen in order to convert it into waste products like, sweat, water, co2

Respiratory System

Short Term Effects

increase in breathing rate

increase in tidal volume-- volume of air either inspired or expired per breath

increase in minute ventilation--the volume of air that is inspired or expired ber breath

Long Term Effects

increase in capillary density- greater oxygen transported to your muscles- exchange more oxygen and carbon dioxide

increase in vital capacity-- the amount of air you can forcibly exhale after doing max inhale- more oxygen can be inspired

increase in tidale volume- more oxygen to the lungs

greater intercostal muscle strength- more air can be breathed in or out- reduces resting breathing rate-makes the body more efficient
