Worked example

For a tropical cyclone you have studied in a named developed country, explain two enviromental impacts.

One of the enviromental impacts of Hurricane Sandy was pollution of water sources. Te storm surges from the hurricane caused large-scale flooding, which resulted in raw sewage leaking into nearby water sources and damaging habitats. Another environmental impact was the damage to coastal nature reserves. For example, the storm surge caused damage to the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge in the state of Delaware.

Key tip: always use the located examples you were taught in class so that you have more detail.
