What is Stress?

  • A state of stress is defined as existing when there is an imbalance between percieved demands and percieved coping response

 

  • A reaction people have to excessive pressures or other types of demand placed upon them. It arises when they worry that they can't cope.
  • Attempting to cope with our continually changing environment
