Stem cells

Stem cells: These are unspecalised cells that reatain the ability to differentiate in to any type of cell 

There are three different types of stem cells: 

  • Totipotent: These cells can turn in to any type of cell they want and are only found in embryos
  • Pluripotent: These cells can turn in to most cells and are found in the placenta 
  • Multipotent: These cells can turn in to a few cells and are found in the bone marrow

With Stem Cells you have to be careful. When reviewing the subject you need experts who will tell you how it works and how to properly use stem cell and indepentant review to dicuss the ethics. 

The dangers of stem cells: 

  • It could lead to designer babies 
  • It could lead to clones of people 
  • The injections can lead to cancer
